Calvin R. “Cal” Sanchez, 80, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Choctaw, La., died Saturday, December 20, 2008.
He is survived by one daughter, Alice Landry; one brother, Anthony J. Sanchez Jr.; four grandchildren, Calvin Landry, Rosenna Falcon, Alison Oncale and Rena; and four great-grandchildren, Ciara, Heather, Lane and Lyle.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elma P. Sanchez, his parents, Anthony and Agnes Kelly Sanchez; two brothers, Joseph Sr. and Lloyd Sanchez; and five sisters, Elmere S. Clesi, Earline S. Corckmen, Joyce S. Trahan, Rita Bordes and Selma Rosota.
A memorial mass was held Saturday, January 3 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Chackbay.
Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
