Camille Bertrand “Pop” Verdin, 95, a resident of Lockport, LA. and a native of Point-Aux-Chenes, LA., died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. at Thursday and from 9 to 1 p.m. funeral time Friday at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport with burial in the church cemetery.


He is survived by one son, Adam Verdin and wife, Elaine; 4 daughters, Eva Triche, Jean Carlos and husband, Kenneth, Helen Dufrene and husband, and Linda Dufrene and Husband, Pat; 11 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Aggie Matherne Verdin; his parents, Bernard and Julia Billiot Verdin; 2 brothers, Paul Verdin and Norman Matherne, and 3 sisters, Agatha Adams, and Ovelia and Tina Verdin.

He was a parishoner of Holy Savior Catholic Church.

Falgout Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
