Mixup costs insurer $27K in penalties

February 8, 2010Carol Eymard Dantin, 67, a native of Galliano, La., and resident of Harahan, La., died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010.
She is survived by her husband of more than 47 years, Daniel Dantin; sons, Daniel Jr. (Joy) and Randall (Ruth) Dantin; daughters, Julie (Randy) Schmidt and Penny (Douglas) Boozer; nine grandchildren, Danielle Dantin, Dustin Dantin, Randy Schmidt Jr., Caroline Schmidt, Anjelica Dantin, Blake Casler, Demi Danton, Bradley Boozer and Austin Boozer; sisters, Judy Eymard and Mary Lou (Jeffery) Lee; brothers, Gary (Cynthia) and Terry (Cheryl) Eymard; and sister-in-law, Margardet.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Pearl Eymard; and brother, Ted Eymard.
The family extends its thanks to MD Anderson for helping Mrs. Dantin fight cancer, as well as Heartland Hospital for its care.
Mrs. Dantin is buried at Westland Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, La.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Mrs. Dantin’s memory.
Mothe Funeral Home of Marrero is in charge of arrangements.
