Carrel “Do Do” Hymel Jr., 74, a native of White Castle, La., and resident of Larose, La., died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014.
Mr. Hymel enjoyed woodworking, camping and traveling. He worked and retired from Edison Chouest Offshore after 25 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Brenda Hymel; sons, Carrel III (Nicole) and Dwayne (Donna) Hymel; stepsons, Eric (Bonnie), Dexter (Nicole) and Blake (Catherine) Callais; daughters, Dena Hymel, Darlene (Chic) Ramirez and Teri (Omar) Ortega; brother, James (Lois) Hymel; sisters, Veronica (Butch) Callegan and Sallie (Roger) Young; 10 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrel Sr. and Janice Hymel.
Burial is at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Cut Off, La. (Samart-Mothe)
