Carrie Holmes Wilson Williams, 94, a native of Eunice, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011.
Mrs. Williams was a member of New St. Paul Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess and mother of the church.
She is survived by her foster son, Efrom Washington; brother, Theodore (Margie) Holmes; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and four Godchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Sr. and Matilda Smith Holmes; two spouses, Alonzo Wilson and Mose Williams; daughter, Rita Mae Wilson Navarre; son-in-law, Rev. Arthur Navarre Sr.; brothers, James Jr. and Thomas Holmes; sisters, Mattie Johnson and Mary Walker; and great-granddaughter, Iyanna Mitchell.
She is buried at New St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery. (Community)
