Carroll Andrew Lirette Sr., 79, a native of Little Caillou, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 10:42 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010.


Mr. Lirette was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a member of the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association and AARP.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Marie Chauvin Lirette; son, Carroll (Dorothy) Lirette Jr.; daughters, Pamela (Carroll) Dugas and Faith Babin; six grandchildren, Holly Dugas Hebert, Adam Richard Babin, Shelli Babin Bokash, Luke Andrew Babin and Christina Marie and Douglas Paul Lirette; and nine great-grandchildren, Logan Michael and Elizabeth Claire Hebert, Chrysta Lee and Ayden Richard Babin, Jackson Riley and Madison Grace Bokash, Blaze Thomas and Halle Lynn Babin and Benson Wade Lirette, expected soon.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Ophelia Virginia Cuneo Lirette; half-brother, Eddie Lirette Jr.; and grandparents, Joseph and Catherine Guy Cuneo.

He is buried at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
