Catherine Mary Chauvin

Catherine Mary Chauvin, 89, a native and resident of Montegut, died at 6:25 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by one brother, Fay Chauvin of Houma; and numerous relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Flavius Chauvin and Josephine Ellender Chauvin; two brothers, Charles and William Chauvin; and two sisters, Ruth C. Pellegrin and Maude C. Decoux.

She was a retired schoolteacher with Terrebonne Parish School Board for 45 years and was a member of several organizations.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or your favorite choice.

She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
