Cecil John “Boy” Guidry, 89, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Wednesday, March 18.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey John Guidry; daughter, Jennifer A. Guidry; and sisters, Isabel G. Plaisance, Doris G. Dufrene, Vella G. Knight and Betty G. Breaux.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha S. Guidry; parents, Hypaulite Guidry Sr. and Laura B. Guidry; brother, Hypaulite Guidry Jr.; and sister, Rena G. Allemand.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion and VFW. He was a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews, La.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, March 23, at St. Hilary Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport, La.
Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
