Charles Vincent Bernard, 72, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Cut Off, La., died at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011.
He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran and Schlumberger retiree.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Guidry Bernard; son, Ronnie (Cindy) Bernard; daughters, Rhonda (Barry) Daviet and Rona (Ron) Dinsmore; brothers, Melvin, Louis and Douglas “Dougie” Bernard; sisters, Thelma “Sis” Leonard and Mary Ann Pierce; and five grandchildren, Joseph, Jared and Leah Bernard, Sarah Daviet and Gracie Dinsmore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcide and Pauline Williams Bernard; and four brothers, Dudley, Norris “Brod”, Stanley and Bill Bernard.
He is buried at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
