Two suspects in triple homicide released

Cleveland Hogan Jr., 82, a native of Raceland, La., and a resident of New Orleans, La., died Monday, May 12.
He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Hogan of Houston, Tx., and Gaynell Hogan Simms of Waggerman, La.; sons, Donald and Michael Hogan of Houston; sister, Geneva Toussaint of Raceland; brothers, Alvin Hogan of Houston, and Thomas Hogan of Raceland; 20 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sedonia Sylvester Hogan; parents, Cleveland Sr. and Flavia Hogan; son, Cleveland Hogan III; daughters, Lois Hunter, Patricia Hogan Sims and Laverne Hogan; brothers, Eugene Hogan and Edward Hogan; sisters, Edna Chisley, Dorothy Gale, Aretha Charles, Mary Morris, Martha Tucker and Gracey Davis.
He was a member of First Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in New Orleans. He was also a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran.
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Raceland with a religious service to follow. He will be buried at church cemetery.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
