Clovis Bergeron, 81, a native of Carencro, La., and a resident of Morgan City, La., died Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 3:35 a.m.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Ethel D. Bergeron of Morgan City; five sons, Norman Bergeron of St. Augustine, Fla., Ronald Bergeron of Fernadina, Fla., Wayne Brigette and Ralph Brook both, of Patterson, La., and Clovis Bergeron of Houston, Texas; eight daughters, Julia Barard of Scott, La., Mary Bergeron, Linda Bergeron, Rox Ann Bergeon, Johnell Bergeron and Gail Granger, all of Morgan City, and Reatha Hilliard and Patricia Hall, both of Patterson; one brother, Gervis Bergeron of Houston; one sister, Beatrice Bergeron of Opelousas, La.; 25 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one godchild.


He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, two brothers, two daughters and one son.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Morgan City Cemetery (St. Anthony).

Jones Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
