Corine Pitre

Corine Bourgeois Pitre, 90, a native and lifelong resident of Raceland, La., died Monday, Dec. 7, 2015.

Mrs. Pitre, or “Sista” as she was affectionately called, was a very soft spoken, sincere and kindhearted woman. Throughout her entire life, she treated everyone she met as an old friend. Together with her late husband, she enjoyed simple things – swinging on their front yard swing in late afternoons; eating out for lunch; doing yard work, listening to their favorite country music and going to 4 p.m. mass every Saturday.

Mrs. Pitre is survived by her niece, Geralyn Talbot.

Burial is at St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery.
