Courtney Terrell “Flight” Butler, 32, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, July 15, 2010.


Mr. Butler was a member of Residence Baptist Church and Knights of Columbus. His enjoyed basketball and fishing. He was employed at North American Ship Yard.

He is survived by his mother, Cheryl T. Butler; father, David M. Butler Sr.; fiancée, Erica Domangue; daughter, Bria Louise Butler; brothers, David Jr. and Brandon Butler; grandmothers, Chalmette K. Thomas and Hazel S. Butler; aunts, Antionette Mitchell, Terri D. Thomas, Kim (Edward) Ricks, Lisa (Standford) Fusilier, Barbara (Kenneth) Jasper, Donna Lancelin, Sheryl Butler, Linda (James) Butler and Brenda (Charley) Johnson; and five great aunts, Annabelle Hammock, Lean Mae Houser, Orita Baker, Odessa (Charles) Brumfield and Mildred (Lloyd) Johnson.


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anthony Thomas Jr. and James Butler.

He is buried at Union Benevolent Cemetery.
