Damien “Baby D” Verrett Sr., 25, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Metairie, La., died Thursday, September 18.


He is survived by his fiancee’, Tremicey Dorsey of Metairie, La.; mother, Brendlyn Keys of Thibodaux, La.; father, Randle Denson of New Orleans; two sons, Damien Verrett Jr., of Marrero, La., and Damond Verrett of Metairie; two daughters, Jerne’ Barra of Metairie and Dam Duncan of New Orleans; four sisters, Dora Nesha Verrett of Prairieville, La., Tyra Hinton of Houston, Tx., Rachel Denson of Georgetown, Ms., and Latressa Johnson of Warner Robbins, Ga.; and one brother, Fredrick Verrett of Prairieville.


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Percy Sr. and Leona Keys and Brogan and Racheal Denson.

He was a member of Divine Providence Baptist Church of Metairie. His hobbies included playing basketball.

A religious service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, September 26, at Mt Carmel Baptist Church in Labadieville, La. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
