Daniel Mason, 64, a native of Chauvin, La., and a resident of Terrebonne Parish, La., died Saturday, August 30.
He is survived by his companion, Terry Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anderson and Katie Johnson Mason; two brothers, Samuel and Paul Mason; five sisters, Lorena Smith, Sarah Smith, Rebecca Welch, Katie Mae Harrell and Evelina Matthews; and his grandparents, Samuel and Lucy Mason and Albert and Mary Johnson.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and was Baptist.
He was buried at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
