February 25, 2011Darnell Marie Foret Fazende, 42, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Baton Rouge, La., died at 11:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2011.
Mrs. Fazende was an office manager at Elle Jewelry Designs. She received her B.A. degree from Nicholls State University. She was a member of Grace Life Fellowship Church and the Children’s Ministry Nursery.
She is survived by her husband, Joel Fazende; son, William Fazende; sisters, Rochelle (John) Walker, Alice Gauthreaux and Donna Carreker; brothers, Barry (Carolyn) and Eric Foret; 18 nieces and nephews; 10 great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harris and Nobie Martha Breaux Foret.
Honorary pallbearers were James Bates, Timothy Carreker, Boyce Clark, Brent Fazende, Matthew Ford, Michael Foret, Jason Genovese, Jason Morrill, Evan Thomas, Michael Thomas, John Walker Jr., Rivers Bates, Seth Carreker, Graeme Clark, Jacob Genovese and Bryan Walker. (Rabenhorst)
