David L. Dishman, 64, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 3:20 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010.


Mr. Dishman was president and general manager of Dishman and Bennett Specialty Co. Inc. He was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church and an organ donor. He is a 1965 graduate of South Terrebonne High School.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Champagne Dishman; biological daughters, Melanie Potter, Valerie Hopkins and Christina Dishman; other daughters, Christy Price Domingue, Dawn Eastin Terracina, Kathy Eastin Mooring and Teresa Eastin Huffaker; son, John Price II; brothers, James (Catherine), Robert “Bob” and Gerald “Jerry” (Wanda) Dishman; sisters, Margaret (Lanny) Lapeyrouse, Mary (Fred) Giles and Susan and Elaine Dishman; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Annie Laura Fabregas Dishman; brothers, Leon and John “Sonny” Dishman; sisters, Elsie Falgout and Annie Laura Boudreaux; and grandparents, Martin Leo and Annie Laura Chauvin Fabregas and James and Elsie Lowe Dishman.

He is buried at St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery.
