David L. Griffin, 71, a native of Salem, W.Va., and resident of Bayou Vista, La., died Saturday, July 21, 2012.
Mr. Griffin served in the U.S. Coast Guard until retiring in 1979.
He is survived by his wife, May Griffin; sons, David (Angie) and Randy (Desi) Hanagriff; daughters, Kari (Robert) Purser and Linda (Thomas) Scimio; brother, Gary Griffin; former wife, Anna Hanagriff; stepson, Tony Teague; stepdaughter, Tina Teague; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Wilma Griffin; sister, Donita Griffin; and stepchildren, Wanda, Ralph and Mark Teague.
Burial was at Presbyterian Cemetery in Centerville, La. (Ibert’s)
