David W. Mitchell, 65, a native of Mississippi and resident of Houma, LA., died at 12:40 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rogers Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Gradney Mitchell; two sons, Richard W. Mitchell and wife, Debbie, and John Gradney and wife, Jean; one daughter, Debbie Audler and husband, Scott; two brothers, Willard and Ray Mitchell; and five grandchildren, Timothy, Bradin, Alyssa, Ashley and Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave Mitchell and Lilly May Cooper Mitchell; six brothers, William, Harvey, Riley, Charles, Horace and Lorenzo “L.D.” Mitchell; and two sisters, Laura “Sis” Alexander and Mary Linton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Bayou Region Hospice, 195 Corporate Drive, Houma, LA 70360.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma will be in charge of the arrangements.
