David Paul Fanguy Sr., 56, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, April 12, at 7:34 p.m.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Trudy Lirette Fanguy; daughters, Dawn Fanguy and companion, Dwayne Distoell, Tonia Fanguy and fiance, James Gills, and Natishea Fanguy and companion, Scott Dirksen; sons, Robert Fanguy and wife, Tory, and Bryan Fanguy and fiancee’, Sarah; sisters, Marilyn Lambert and Gwen Adams; brothers, Johnny Fanguy Sr. and Easton Fanguy Jr.; his mother-in-law, Leola Lirette; and grandchildren, Ricky and Tommy Disotell, Elizabeth Trosclair, Jacelyn Fanguy, Mark Guillory, Madysun and Liberty Dirksen, Kadaria Lajaunie, Dayton Bebe, Taylor, Drake, Caleb and Piper Fanguy, and Dylan Madilyn and Logan Fanguy.
He was preceded in death by his son, David Paul Fanguy Jr.; his father, Easton Fanguy Sr.; his mother, Isora “Mary” Lovell Fanguy Fonseca; his stepfather, Ellis Fonseca; his father-in-law, Robert Lirette Sr.; brother-in-law, Robert Lirette Jr.; and sister-in-law, Judy Lirette.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma with a religious service to follow. He will be buried at Rogers Cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
