Dave R. Thomas, 74, a resident of Berwick, La., died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013.
Mr. Thomas was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member and past master of Lafayette Lodge 87, Free & Accepted Masons and was on the board of directors of the Citrus Land Company. He enjoyed wood working and hunting alligators. He retired from the Town of Berwick as the Town Clerk and Chief Administrative Officer in 2001.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Thomas; children Ronald (Sheila), Frances and Mark Thomas, Robin (Rickey) Battle, Kelly (Jeff) LeBlanc and Shannon (Marc) Distefano; step-children, Marion (Jeff) Jett and Charlie (Jacquline) Autrey; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at Hargrave Funeral Home with services to follow. (Hargrave)
