Joseph Martin Sr., 65, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Chauvin, La., died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Fleming-Martin; sons, Michael (Cindee) Martin-Tellis, Elfrom (Monique) and Torin Fleming and Joseph III (Yolanda) and Eronne Sr. (Quizine) Martin; daughters, Jerne’ (Michael) Nixon and Tia (Damion) Robinson; brothers, Warren and Michael Martin; sisters, Ethel Green, Ollie (Noble) Patterson, Panzy White and Rosie Scott; 20 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Sr. and Ethel Martin; son, Joseph Martin, Jr.; brother, Arthur Martin Jr.; and grandparents, Clarence and Ollie Jones.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Chauvin with services to follow. Burial will be at Southdown Cemetery. (Jones)
