Benjamin joins CIS surgical staff

Dean Derrick, 65, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, April 18, at 2 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Cora Scurlock Derrick; daughters, Denise and husband Richard Bourg and Darlene Babin; brother, John Derrick; sister, Charlene Babin; grandchildren, Carrie DeRoche, Tanya Parson, Tyler Bourg, Ryan Desmares and Mandi Adams; and great-grandchildren, Trinity Desmares and Lukas Parsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Josephine P. Derrick; and sister, Charlotte Derrick.
He was a parishioner of St. Francis.
He was buried at St. Francis #2 Cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
