Dewey “Pop” Rivette, 83, a native of Franklin, La. and resident of Houma, La. died peacefully at Terrebonne General Medical Center, Monday, November 12, 2007.

He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Rivette; one son, Kenneth “Keno” Rivette and his wife Jackie; one daughter, Brenda Willis and her husband Stafford; five grandchildren, Deandra Pachall and her husband Jimmy, Leah Domangue and her husband Drake, Darla Sampley and her husband Tim, Jared Willis, and Cory Rivette; and eight great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Rivette; and two grandsons, Craig and Todd Rivette.

Dewey was a loving husband to his wife Yolanda for 62 years. He was a World War II Veteran, a mason, a former employee of Superior / Mobile, and a former owner of Milling Tools, Inc. He was also a Mason.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
