Dorothy (Dot) Marie Comeaux, 68, a native of Montegut, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, March 8, at 1:45 p.m.


She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Paul Comeaux Sr.; sons, Kenneth Jr. and wife Harriet Comeaux, and Kevin Comeaux; daughter, Melanie and husband Kyle Clouse; brothers, Leland Crochet Sr. and wife Sally, John Crochet Jr. and companion Marsha, Evance (Sonny) Crochet and wife Sheila, Gurshel Crochet and wife Dottie, and Lydell (Sly) Crochet and wife Pam; sisters, Linda Pellegrin and husband Carl, Melissa Ardoin and husband Rickey, and Barbara Theriot and husband Pat; grandchildren, Joshua, Willie, Katie, Eddie and Tori Lynn Comeaux, Jayme Guidry and fiancé Jacob Scott, Marcus Schexnayder and fiancé Katey Hamdel, Steven and Kylynn Clouse and Allison Richard and husband Chad; and four great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, John Sr. and Adele Naquin Crochet; paternal grandparents, Evince and Lorenza Crochet; and maternal grandparents, Neville and Dorina Naquin.

She was an active member of the Krewe of Cleopatra since 1989. She enjoyed working in her yard and loved her dog Rocky. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations to masses are preferred.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Falgout Funeral Home’s Chapel in Houma. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial at St. Francis Cemetery II.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
