Thelma Alexander, 76, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Wednesday, March 11.


She is survived by her sons, Steve Johnson and wife Rose of Dallas, Tx., Michael Johnson and wife Carol of Fort Worth, Tx., Ricky Jacquet, Dennis Jacquet and Stanley Jacquet and wife Paula of Thibodaux; daughter, Della Holdman and husband Kevin of Grand Prairie, Tx.; brother, Levi Johnson Jr. of Chicago, Il.; sisters, Mary Dyer and husband Albert of Westwego, La., Mildred Johnson of Arlington, Tx., Ella Mae Tolbert of New Orleans, La., and Shirley Delandro of Fort Worth; and five grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Alexander; parents, Levi Johnson Sr. and Cordella Brown Johnson; brothers. Lionel Johnson and L.J. Johnson; and sisters, Geraldine Bailey, Lelia Johnson, Leola Johnson and Carrie Mel Johnson.

She was a member of Moses Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board. Her hobbies included reading and cooking.

A religious service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday March 14, at Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
