Trees hold back erosive tides in Golden Meadow

Douglas Joseph Duet, 87, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, March 22, at 5 p.m.
He is survived by his son, Dula Duet and wife Sharon; daughters, Cunnie Colomb and Bonnie Fazzio and husband Francis “Snookie”; sister, Maydel Callahan; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Duet; parents, Abel J. and Mary Moore Duet; sister, Edna Pitre; and grandson, Travis Crochet.
No services are scheduled.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
