Druis Joseph Boudreaux Sr., 70, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died Monday, March 23.


He is survived by his wife, Dianne Fanguy Boudreaux; daughters, Debra Domangue and husband Carroll, Tammy-Lynn Wallace and husband David, Mona Hebert and husband Craig, Lori-ann Bergeron and husband Dwain, and Joyce Theriot and husband Brad; step-daughters, Monalisa Verdin and husband Calvin, and Gypsy Collins and companion Darryl Parfait; sons, Druis Boudreaux Jr., Andrew Boudreaux, and Marty Boudreaux; step-son, David Collins and wife Brandi; sister, Geraldine Pinell; grandchildren, Jeffrey Loyd II, Sierra Domangue, Victoria and Micheal Wallace, Chantay, Sabrina and Angel Bergeron, Brittany Hebert, Mercedes Boudreaux, Amy Gregoire, Brandon, Jaydon, Makayla and Christopher Parfait, Dawson Collins, and Shawna and Tristan Verdin; and his best friends, Robert and Ann Hunnicutt.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice Leblanc Boudreaux and Andrew Boudreaux; daughter, Natalie Boudreaux; son, Eddie Gregoire; and grandchildren, Brandon Loyd and Braydon Hebert.

He was a devoted father and grandfather who loved to help others. He was a carpenter for Texaco for 13 years, then became a self-employed carpenter for many years after that.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are preferred to help with funeral expenses.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, La., with the funeral services to follow.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
