Dudley “Pa-Do” Paul Tabor, 71, a native of Choctaw, La., and a resident of Slidell, La., died Monday, January 28, 2008, at 6:30 a.m.


He is survived by his wife, Vernice Ordoyne Tabor; son, Norman Paul Tabor and wife Theresa; daughter, Christine Tabor Songy and husband Steve; brothers, Butler P. Tabor Sr. and wife Martha, Phillip Tabor Sr. and wife Eduvina and Earl Tabor; sisters, Catherine Tabor Hebert and husband Rodney, and Dale Tabor Martin and husband Roger; step-children, Wanda Landry Loupe and husband Eugene; Patricia Landry Durocher and husband Willi, Benita Landry Hebert and husband Randy, Terry Landry and wife Patricia and Gary Landry; six grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; and five step-great grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents Rubin P. Tabor and Lula Hebert Tabor; grandparents, Marcel Tabor and Pauline B. Tabor ,and Cleveland Hebert and Bertha Hebert; and two step-grandchildren, Eugene Loupe and Tyler Hebert.

Pa-Do will be sadly missed by his little girl “Poodie” Princess. He was very honored and proud to be the Grand Marshall in 1994 at the Choctaw Fireman’s Fair. Pa-Do loved being with his friends playing pedro and enjoyed taking his family and friends to eat out.

Visitation is 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008, at Choctaw Fire Station with the funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Chapel in Choctaw. He will be buried at St. James Cemetery in Choctaw.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Homes of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
