February 25, 2011Earl “Joe” Thomas Usey Sr., 75, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 10:05 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011.
He is survived by his children, Elizabeth “Liz” (Gene) Clement, and Earl Jr. “Cajun” (Vickie), Kenneth “Scoop” (Shei) and Carl “Jelly” (Kim) Usey; his companion, Jessie Mae Landry; brother, Daniel Usey; sisters, Wilma Melancon, Janice Deshotel, Carol Ann Delcambre; six grandchildren, Cammie, Benji, Trisha, Timmy, Kendall and Stacy; and four great-grandchildren, Kayla, Alexandra, Allanah and Havannah.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian D. Usey; parents, Charles Sr. and Cecilia Usey; two brothers, Charles Jr. and Sidney Sr. Usey; and four sisters, Amy Lassiegne, Dorothy Landry, Peggy Chiasson and Ruth Brignac.
He is buried at St. John the Evangelist. (Thibodaux)
