Edgar George Rogers, 80, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a former employee of Schlumberger and a member of First United Methodist Church. He loved his Lord and his family and music and singing were his passion.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Rogers; daughters, Mary (Keith) Thomas, Janice (Brent) Yantis and Lori Rogers; sisters, Shirley Arceneaux, Deloris Kraemer and Doris Songe; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evest and Anaise Rogers; brothers, Julius, Norman and Elgin Rogers; and sister, Rita Landry.
Visitation will be 8:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at First United Methodist Church with services to follow. Burial will be at Rogers Cemetery. (Samart)
