Edith Margaret Morvant Waguespack, 86, a lifelong resident of the Raceland, La., and Lockport, La., area, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, in Houston.

Mrs. Waguespack enjoyed attending musical and theatrical performances with friends.


She is survived by her sons, Michael, Chris and James Waguespack; grandchildren, Geoffrey Waguespack, Renee Burdick, Kelly, Tracy, Rachel, Samuel and Ally Waguespack; great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Annika Waguespack; and brothers, Sidney Jr., Wilton “Tony” and Elery Morvant Sr.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Sr. and Edith Delaune Morvant; and husband, Leon F. Waguespack.

Donations to Grace Hospice, 240 N. Sam Houston Parkway E, Suite 101, Houston, Texas, 77060, in Mrs. Waguespack’s name are appreciated.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.

She will be buried at Holy Savior Catholic Church Cemetery in Lockport.
