Eleanor M. Gordon (Ellie), after a courageous battle against cancer, peacefully departed this life Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at the age of 56. A native of New Orleans, La., she graduated from Joseph S. Clark High School.
Her parents, James Keeling and Margie Keeling Sanders, preceded her in death. Ellie was a loving mother to her only daughter Ebara T. Anderson of Houma, La.; her favorite son-in-law Tawaskie R. Anderson; her sweetest Grand Baby Ache’ N. Anderson; and a devoted and caring niece Dana Pounds. Ellie also had two brothers, Robert Keeling and the late Joseph Collins, Sr.; and three sisters, Desmonia Gatlin, the late Sylvia Keeling and Juwairiah Jalaliddin. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Join us in celebrating her life on Monday, December 22, 2008 at St. Lucy Catholic Church 1220 Aycock St. in Houma. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Mass begins at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Southdown Cemetery in Houma.
