Eleanor Duet Savoie, 98, a native of Lafourche Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, March 24, 2011.

She is survived by her children, Marie (Godfrey) Buquet, Warren (Helen) Savoie and Earline Slaaen; brother, Paul Duet; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude J. Savoie; one son, George Savoie; one granddaughter, Shiloh Slaaen; one great-granddaughter, Crystal Slaaen; three brothers; three sisters; and her parents, Andrew Jackson Duet and Azelie Eymard Duet.

She is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 1. (Samart)
