Elizabeth Portier Anselmi, 73, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Sept. 10.
She is survived by four sisters, Maybelle Portier Antill, Marion Portier Wunstell, Alice Portier Duplantis and Margaret Portier Pellegrin; three brothers, Jerry Portier, Daniel Portier and Phillip Portier; one step-daughter, Elaine Anselmi Rivere and husband Hansel; four step-grandchildren, Melissa Hebert Delaune and husband Phillip, Tommy Hebert, Scott W. Rivere and Hansel Rivere Jr. and wife Michelle; and five step-great grandchildren, Chance Delaune, Chase Hebert, Dylan Hebert, Justin Rivere and Garrett Rivere.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gibson “T-Gib” Anselmi; parents, Leonce Portier Sr. and Haydee Jarveaux Portier; four brothers, Leonce Portier Jr., Donald Portier, Charles Portier Sr. and Fay Portier Sr.; and one step-grandchild, Brent Paul Rivere.
She was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at Bayou Black Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
