Ellis A. Terrebonne, 87, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died at 2:28 a.m. Saturday, September 27.


He is survived by two sons, Peter A. Terrebonne and wife Joanette, and Greg Terrebonne Sr. and wife Peggy; and three grandchildren, Leslie, James and Greg Terrebonne.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Locade Guilbeau Terrebonne; his parents, Ulysse and Georgina Duet Terrebonne; and one sister, Edith Rodrigue.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and a World War II Army veteran. He was the Golden Meadow postmaster for 29 years. He was a member of the Golden Meadow Rotary Club, the American Legion Post 259 and president of the Hebert Cemetery Association.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, September 29, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow with mass to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
