LABI official: Tough times could be coming for La.
February 22, 2010Ellodie Bingham Bennett, 70, a native and lifelong resident of Terrebonne Parish, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010.
Mrs. Bennett worked for the Terrebonne Parish School Board for more than 30 years.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Samuel Jr. and Tangynikka Bennett, Clifford Patterson and Tyrika Brown; sisters, Queen Stewart and Engeline and Bealuh Bingham; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Zackery Bennett Jr.; son, Samuel J. Bennett; parents, Samuel and Catherine Bingham; grandson, Demetrius K. Bennett; and sisters, Eula, Emily and Virginia Bingham.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Community Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the funeral home.
She will be buried at Southdown Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
