Elma Hartman Griffin, 82, a native and resident of Gheens, Louisiana, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2014.
For more than 60 years, Mrs. Griffin was a caretaker of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Anthony Ladies Alter Society, board member of the Vacherie Gheens Senior Citizens Center, dedicated cook for Vacherie Gheens Volunteer Fire Department and volunteer and cook at Vacherie Gheens Community Center. She was the Vacherie Gheens babysitter.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Dufrene and Lori (Glenn) Robichaux; brothers, Nolan, Roy, George and Rayford Hartman; sister, Eulah H. Blank; sister-in-law, Marie Loupe; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Burial is at Holy Savior Cemetery.
