October 7, 2014Ida Mae “Candy” Jackson, 81, a native of Gibson, Louisiana, and resident of Labadieville, Louisiana, died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her sons, Benjamin Hawkins Jr. and Alvin, Calvin and Jerome (Paula) Smith; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives.
Visitation is today from 8 to 11 a.m. at St. Mark Baptist Church in Labadieville. Funeral services will follow.
Interment will be at St. Mark Baptist Church Cemetery.
