Elmina Mary Suire James, 78, a native of Gueydan, LA. and resident of Gray, LA., died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.


She is survived by two daughters, Laurel Hebert and husband, John, of Gray and Cindy Armer and husband, Michael, of Compton, Ark.; three brothers; seven sisters; five grandchildren, Trey Harding, Eric Hebert, Christopher Hebert, Candace Armer and Holly Armer; and one great-grandchild, Ethan Harding.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd D. James; her parents, Oneize Suire and Agnes Landry Suire; three brothers; and one sister.

She was a nanny for Dr. Ruthanne Gallagher for 27 years and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
