Elvert Leonard “LiL’ Bean” Pharagood, 41, a native and resident of Thibodaux, LA., died at 6:43 a.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2007.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday, February 24, 2007 at New Magnolia Baptist Church in Schriever, LA. The Religious Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church with burial in The Half Way Cemetery in Gray, LA.
He is survived by his fiancé, Meshone Beasley of Betrandvilleat, LA.; two sons, Pvt Elvert Beamon of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Elvert Pharagood Jr. of Betrandville; three stepsons, Christopher Beasley, Tyre’ Ausbrook and Daquan Ausbrooks of Betrandville; four daughters, Keosha Beamon, Zarriel Pharagood and Courtney Harley of Thibodaux and El’masha Pharagood of Betrandville; one stepdaughter, Shana Beasley of Betrandville; seven sisters, Diane Tyler, Ella Pharagood, Patricia Pharagood, Janice Williams, Gloria Pharagood, Denise Pharagood, Shawanda Pharagood and Barbara Every all of Thibodaux; two brothers, James Pharagood and Alex Pharagood of Thibodaux; He is also survived by two granchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Welmon Sr. and Shirley H. Pharagood; one brother Wellmon Pharagood Jr.; one half sister, Rose Mary Brown.
He was Baptist. He loved working and listening to music.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
