Emile Joseph Thibodaux, 81, a native and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, February 7, 2008.
He is survived by his sons, Allen, Tommy and Brian Thibodaux; daughters, Linda Traigle, Janice Traigle and Bonnie Sweatman; brother, Henry Thibodaux; 13 grandchildren, Jason Thibodaux, Katie Hidalgo, Shane Thibodaux, Jacob Thibodaux, Brandy Lasseigne, Tracey Esneault, Frankie Sweatman, Johnny Joe Sweatman, Eric Sweatman, Ashley Thibodaux, Braxton Thibodaux, Brian Thibodaux and Keri Tabor; and seven great grandchildren, Hailey Thibodaux, Lexie Thibodaux, Victoria Hidalgo, Raeanna Hidalgo, Ella Sweatman, Landon Lasseigne and Whatt Galvan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Clause Thibodaux; his parents, Marcellin Thibodaux and Julie Hymel; brothers, Alex, Bernard, Dave and Lucien; and sisters, Lydia Chiasson, Hortancia Tabor and Hortense Tabor.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, February 08, 2008, and 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008, at Thibodaux Funeral Home with mass to follow at the funeral home chapel. He will be buried in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
