February 8, 2010Emily Champagne Ledet, 89, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Lockport, La., died at 12:08 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010.
Mrs. Ledet was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church.
She is survived by sons, Emile Jr. and Gary (Deborah) Ledet; sister, Gert (Bert) Matherne; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emile Ledet Sr.; parents, Alcest and Idolia Foret Champagne; brothers, Pierre and Johnny Champagne; sisters, Irma Babin, Theresa Aupied, Mae Dufrene, Vivian Adams, Beatrice Monier and Octavia Ledet; grandchild, Bryan Ledet; and daughter-in-law, Judy Ledet.
She is buried at Holy Savior Catholic Church Cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
