February 2, 2010Emma “Eva” McPherson McGee, 92, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010.
Mrs. McGee was the mother of Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church, and a past member of Eastern Star-Stone Square Lodge and Union Citizens Club.
She is survived by sons, Preston (Lourean) McGee Jr., Donald (Debbie) and Christopher McPherson; daughters, Virginia Townsend and Patricia McGee; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston McGee; parents, Isreal and Virginia Moore McPherson; sons, Leroy and Raymond Lyons Sr.; daughter, Louise Molly McGee; brothers, Clifford, Isreal McPherson Sr. and Miller Odeal Davis; sisters, Margaret Smith, Frances McPherson, Mary Plummer and Ruth; grandparents, Austin and Odelia McPherson.
She is buried at Woodlawn Ranch Cemetery.
