Emory Charles Besse, 79, a native and resident of Morgan City, La., died Monday, Aug. 24, 2015.
Mr. Besse was a devout parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church where he served as a reader and Eucharistic minister. He was also an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus Holy Cross Council 12179 and the Msgr. Jules S. Toups Assembly 2076. Mr. Besse served in the Louisiana National Guard, contributed time as a Boy Scout Leader, worked for Franklin Supply Company for 31 years and worked for the St. Mary School Board for 24 years.
Mr. Besse is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Besse; sons, Steven Besse, Christopher (Kristin) Besse and Timothy (Kimberly) Besse; daughters Kathy (Lonnie) LeBouve and Judith (Ted) Besse Bergeron; sister, Patricia Manuel; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Burial is at Morgan City Cemetery.
