Errol Joseph Chenier Sr., 61, a resident of Schriever, La., and a native of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, December 28, 2008.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Kirkland Chenier; son, Errol “E.J.” Chenier Jr. and wife Kasilyn; two daughters, Celeste Ledet and husband Fred; Tiffany Scott and friend Malcolm Cortez; sister-in-law, Linda Rodrigue; brother-in-law, Randry Rodrigue; life-long friend, Claiborne “C.J.” Oncale; grandchildren, Colby Chenier, Karleigh Scott, Harlyn Scott, Taylor Chenier, Harrison Ledet, Lorre Ledet, Tyler Chenier and Tagen Chenier; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harris and Tessie Chiasson Chenier.
Sincere thanks to the doctors and staff at UAMS in Little Rock, Ark., for their professional guidance, care and support through his long fought battle with multiple myeloma.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, January 2, at Thibodaux Funeral Home Chapel with mass to follow.
