Esperanza “Esmi” Rel Bourg, 53, a native of Las Cruces, N.M., died Monday, June 9.
She is survived by her father, Lorenzo Rel Jr.; son, Daniel Bourg and wife, Celeste; daughter, Jinie Bourg and companion, Dwayne Antoine; brothers, Lawrence Rel and wife, Carolyn, and Jose Rel and wife, Simone; and grandchildren, Mason Lantia, Dwayne Antoine, Dayjah Antoine, Daelan Bourg and Dimi Bourg.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Esperanza Rel; and son, Dallas Bourg.
In lieu of flowers, donations to help with funeral expenses are preferred.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, La., with a religious service to follow. She will be buried at Grace Christian Memorial Park.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
