Esquire “Escomo” Williby, 15, a native of Abend and resident of Lemanville, died at Prevost Memorial Hospital in Donaldsonville, La., Saturday, January 17.


He is survived by his mother, Trinette Richard of Lemanville; his father, Marvel Colwart Jr. of Upland, Ca.; three brothers, Jaidea and Cristian Colwart of Upland, and Travis Foster of Darrow; two sisters, Essence Williby of Lemanville and Breanna Foster of Gonzales, La.; his grandparents, Victoria Hill and husband Herman, and Marvel Colwart Sr.; and numerous relatives.


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Antoinette Johnson and Ernest White.

He was a student and was active in football, basketball and track at Donaldsonville High School.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, January 23, at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Donaldsonville and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 24, at Buena Vista Baptist Church in Lemanville. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Abend.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Donaldsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
