Essie Aizen Babin, 77, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Sunday, April 20, 2014.
Mrs. Babin worked at Stark Candy Company as a quality control manager until her retirement. She enjoyed bowling and camping as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a very kind and loving person to all who knew her and never met a stranger. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Warren Babin; daughter, Wanda Besson; sons, Randy, Bryan and Ronnie Babin; brother, Alton Aizen; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Barry Babin; parents, Willie and Edna Aizen; and brothers, Andrew, Minus, Edward and Eulin Aizen.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Thibodaux Funeral Home Chapel with services to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
