Haiti’s hardship helped by local charities

February 15, 2010Eugene “Bib” Bernard, 73, a native and resident of Larose, La., died at 9:55 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010.
Mr. Bernard was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.
He is survived by his brother, Julius Bernard Sr.; sister, Thelma Boura; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulyesse and Estella Adams Bernard; brother, Joseph Bernard; sisters, Emelda Gros and Enola Orgeron; and nephew, Kenneth Boura.
Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off. A Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Larose.
He will be buried at Our Lady of the Rosary Church Cemetery in Larose.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
